Oils+Butters

Remember: Oils DO NOT moisturize hair on their own! You need a water based product to moisturize your hair. Oils seal in the moisture. Moisturizing oils penetrate the hair strand easier.

Coconut Oil:

  -known to be a light weight, moisturizing oil

-prevents breakage and hair loss

-reduces dandruff and other scalp problems

-promotes healthy hair growth

-great as a sealant

-can be used in prepoos

Castor Oil:

-emollient and humectant for skin and hair

-prevents hair loss and breakage

-prevents dry and itchy scalp

-has antifungal, antivirial and antibacterial properties

-promotes hair growth

-thickens hair structure

-reduces frizz

-reduces premature graying of hairs

Almond Oil:

-prevents hair loss

-absorbs into the scalp easily

-high contents of vitamin E, B, dietary fiber, essential minerals and monounsaturated fats

-light weight oil

Avocado Oil:

-easily absorbs into the scalp

-light weight oil

-contains vitamins A, B, D, E, protein, amino acids, iron, copper, magnesium, and folic acid for hair growth

-moisturizes dry skin and hair

-boosts shine

-strengthens hair

Jojoba Oil:

-very light oil

-moisturizes hair

-helps heal scalp of burns, cuts and bruises

-has the same properties as sebum (our natural hair oil)

-improves scalp circulation

Olive Oil:

-has antioxidants to prevent hair loss

-boosts shine

-moisturizes hair

-best for deep conditioning

-eliminates dandruff

Grapeseed Oil:

-adds shine

-very light weight oil

-natural heat protectant

-non greasy

-prevents dandruff

-promotes hair growth

-moisturizes hair

Shea Butter:

-softens brittle hair

-blocks your hair from the sun rays

-locks in moisture

-heals scalp burns and cuts

-many oils can be added to make a shea butter mix

-THICK!

-use lightly
