Vegetable Glycerin Spritz                                   

Ingredients:

  • 6oz of warm water (75% of the spray bottle size)
  • 2oz of vegetable glycerin (25% of the spray bottle size)
  • your favorite essential oil (optional)
  • vitamin e oil
  • spray bottle

Recipe:

Pour the water, vegetable glycerin, 5-6 drops of essential oil, aloe vera gel and 5 drops of vitamin e oil into your spray bottle. Shake the bottle well. Store in the fridge. This spritz works well as a daily moisturizing spritz or can be used during your wash regimen like I use it. You can add other lights oils like coconut oil,I just choose not to.

Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse (ACVR)

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz apple cider vinegar (acv)
  • 6oz water
  • applicator bottle or spray bottle
  • 3-4 drops of rosemary oil (optional)

Recipe:

Pour the water, the acv and the rosemary oil into the bottle. Shake well. Apply to hair and scalp after you shampoo or before you cowash. Make sure you massage the mixture through the scalp and pour some on your ends. Can be used every 2 weeks to once a month. This recipe is a 1 part acv to 3 part water ratio. You can adjust to your liking.

Shea Butter Mix

Ingredients:

  • 8oz of raw, unrefined shea butter
  • 1 oz of coconut oil
  • 3 oz of aloe vera gel (fruit of the earth)
  • 1-2 tbsp. of olive oil, avocado oil, almond oil, castor oil, vitamin e oil and jojoba oil
  • 1.5 oz of vegetable glycerin
  • 5-8 drops of rosemary oil
  • container

Recipe:

Melt the shea butter so it is softened. Mix all ingredients together with a mixer or a spoon. Place shea butter mix in a container. This shea butter mix is great for moisturizing those ashy legs and elbows. Also try this mix for braidouts, twistouts and other styles.

Detangler or Wet Prepoo:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of water (75% of spray bottle)
  • 2-3 tbsp. of any cheapie conditioner (VO5 conditioner)
  • 1 tbsp. (any of oil of your choice) olive oil, castor oil, honey, coconut oil, vitamin e oil
  • 2-3 drops of rosemary oil (optional)
  • spray bottle

Recipe:

Mix all ingredients into the spray bottle. Shake well. On dry hair, spray the hair until it is damp. Start to detangle by separating your hair and raking with your fingers. Store in refrigerator. I’ve tried this as a prepoo and it takes less time to get my hair as soft as doing a dry prepoo.

Castor Oil Spritz:

Ingredients:

  • castor oil
  • water
  • rosemary oil (optional)
  • tea tree oil (optional)
  • spray bottle

Recipe:

Pour water half into your bottle. Then, pour castor oil into half the bottle leaving room to shake. Add tea tree oil and rosemary oil and SHAKE!! your little heart away! Apply this spritz to your prepoos or sealing. This recipe can also be used for a good scalp massage.

MSM Oil Mix:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. MSM powder
  • 3 oz coconut oil
  • 4 oz castor oil
  • 1.5 oz olive oil
  • 10 drops of peppermint oil and rosemary oil each
  • applicator bottle

Recipe:

Add all ingredients to your applicator bottle. SHAKE WELL! to mix all the MSM powder together. Apply to scalp and massage for 5 min. For growth purpose, apply and massage to scalp 3-5 times a week.
